Breakfast Club Fundraisers
The school will be doing 2 breakfast club fundraisers in the new year. We will share more information closer to the launch dates of the fundraisers.
Winter Break
The school will be closed December 23/24 – January 3/25. We will reopen on Monday, January 6/25.

From the office
Office Hours
The office is open 8am-3pm. Closed during recess (10-10:15am) and from 1:45-2pm. We will have student office monitors covering the office during lunch (11:45am-12:30pm).
Student Pick Ups
If you need to pick your child up during the school day, please do so by 11:45 am or after 12:30 pm as it is difficult to call students when they are outside. Please remember that anytime you are picking your students up during the school day (prior to 2:23 pm), it is essential that you notify the classroom teacher and office to ensure that the class is onsite and not on a walk.
Attendance
If your child will be away, please call the office at 604-826-2213 (we have an answering machine) or you can email Ms. Stefanek at teresa.stefanek@mpsd.ca If you email the classroom teacher, please copy the office as well.
Late Arrivals
If your child will be late (after 8:30 am), they need to enter through the front doors to get a late slip before they can proceed to class.
Parent Volunteers
If you would like to volunteer at Windebank there are 2 steps. One is the school volunteer form that needs to be completed yearly and the second part is a Criminal Record Check. Please see the link below that has all the information on applying for both.

Scent Free School
A reminder that Windebank is a scent free school. We have numerous staff with scent allergies.
Windebank School Lunch by Simply Foods – We are excited to offer your children healthy and nutritious meals every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday starting September 16th. Simply provides affordable lunches made fresh from local ingredients, ensuring students receive a balanced meal at school.
Vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal dishes are available. All items are nut and seafood-free.
Please refer to the attached information for instructions on how to set up and order meals for your students.
Two links are provided in the attachments: one for partially subsidized lunches and one for fully subsidized lunches. Please choose the link that best suits your family's circumstances.

Breakfast Club
We wanted to express our gratitude to all those that have donated or connected with us to help our program run again this year. If it wasn't for all of you and your kindness, we wouldn't be at a 5-day breakfast this year. Your ongoing support is and will be greatly appreciated. For those still wondering what they can contribute here is a list of what we would need weekly.

Abbotsford Canucks Hockey Fundraiser
WARRIORS! We are running a fundraiser with the Abbotsford Canucks!!! Monday, February 17th (Family Day) at 2pm! Lots of fun happening! Come and show your school spirit and win prizes while cheering on the Abbotsford Canucks at the Abbotsford Centre, 1 student will be selected to ride the Zamboni at intermission! Share with your friends and family! Tickets are $30 and Windebank will get $5 for every ticket sold! Click on the link to purchase your tickets!
Windebank Elementary
Hot Lunch - January 9th
We are trying something fun and new for our first hot lunch back after Christmas break! 'Build your own Pancake Lunch' is now available for ordering on MunchaLunch. The mini pancakes are a bit bigger than a toonie and will be served with syrup for dipping (no forks, knives, plates, etc).
Ordering for this will run until 6pm Dec 26th. At that point, no late orders can be accepted as shopping will need to be done near the end of break. Please order early to avoid missing the deadline.
This will probably be a busy lunch so we are looking for a few more helping hands! If you are available any time after 11am on Thursday Jan 9th then please send a message. Thank you!
We are also looking to add some CASUAL volunteers to our hot lunch pool. If you might be available on occasion to help out, please let me know and I can add you to our volunteer group. There is no commitment at all.
