Emails from the office - October 18/24

Hello Windebank Families,

Please see any attachments.

Parking lot email previously sent by Ms. Evans:
We hope this message finds you well. We want to inform you that starting today, the school parking lot will be designated as a No Parking Zone for visitors and care-givers, with the exception of vehicles displaying accessible parking passes. There is No Parking or waiting in your car on school property at the end of the school day. This includes any areas where the curb is painted yellow and the open spaces between the rows of cars in the main part of the parking lot.

This initiative is aimed at ensuring the safety and accessibility of our school environment for all students and families. If you are picking up your child, caregivers are encouraged to park across the street at Heritage Park Middle School and use the controlled crossing to reach the school safely.

There have been a number of close calls already this year and we cannot risk the safety of students for convenience.

Please communicate this important update to anyone who may be picking up your child. It is crucial that we all adhere to these new parking guidelines to maintain a safe and organized drop-off and pick-up process. Thank you for your cooperation and understanding. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or concerns.

Sharing Shelf
We are excited to let you know about a new initiative at our school—a Sharing Shelf! This space is stocked with food items that are available for anyone in our community who may need them.

Today, we have a generous donation of preservative-free bread from Westview Bakery in North Vancouver. The bread is nearing its expiration date but freezes well, so feel free to grab some if you'd like (we have already handed out all the bread today).

If you're able to help, we also welcome donations to the Sharing Shelf! Non-perishable food items are especially appreciated and can be dropped off at the school office.

Moving forward, we'll keep you updated whenever more bread or other food items are available. This is all part of our effort to ensure every family has access to food if needed.

Thank you for being part of our wonderful community!
