As we start the school year, it’s crucial to remember the importance of road safety, especially around our school. The school district and the city have added additional measures on the roads and Stave Lake intersection to improve safety. Always use designated crosswalks when crossing the street. Taking shortcuts may seem convenient, but it can be dangerous—and even cost a life. Please set a positive example for our students by following the rules of the road and prioritizing safety over convenience.
We understand that parking is very limited at Windebank. All parking at the school is reserved for MPSD staff and those with displayed accessible parking permits. If you walk your student to the classroom, please park across the road in the south parking lot for Heritage Park Middle School. Do NOT double park or block other vehicles in the staff lot as this creates a hazard for everyone.
Remember, our actions can have a lasting impact. Stay safe and help keep our school community safe too.
