Office Hours & Student Pick Ups

The office is open 8am-3pm. Closed during recess (10-10:15am), and 1:50-2:05pm. We have trained office monitors to cover during lunch.

If you need to pick your child up during the school day, please do so by 11:45 am or after 12:30 pm as it is difficult to call students when they are outside. Please remember that anytime you are picking your students up during the school day (prior to 2:23 pm), it is essential that you notify the classroom teacher and office to ensure that the class is onsite and not on a walk.

Attendance

If your child will be away, please call the office at 604-826-2213 (we have an answering machine) or you can email Ms. Stefanek at teresa.stefanek@mpsd.ca If you email the classroom teacher, please copy the office as well.

Late Arrivals

If your child will be late (after 8:30 am), they need to enter through the front doors to get a late slip before they can proceed to class.

Scent Free School
A reminder that Windebank is a scent free school. We have numerous staff with scent allergies.

Please feel free to drop your recycling there and use Windebank's phone number. Thank you for your ongoing support!

Dear Windebank Families,

We are excited to offer a new subsidized pilot lunch program for our families. This program will be running until the end of June for our families. It is in addition to our fantastic hot lunch program provided by our wonderful PAC.

The Lunch Lady is now ready to take your order!

Meal service is available every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Each meal is individually labeled and packaged and includes a serving of fruit or steamed/raw veggies. Regular, vegetarian and halal options are available every serving day. New menus are posted monthly. You can join this pilot Lunch Program at any time with 2 school days' notice.

Setting Up Your Account –Please CLICK HERE to register for your Lunch Lady account. Once created, place your order and pay for your child's hot lunches. Your School District is partially subsidizing every lunch during this pilot program. Lunches are just $3.50 each!

If your family is facing financial challenges, we want to extend our support by offering fully subsidized lunches.  Please don't hesitate to reach out to your school office for assistance.

Please be assured that we deeply respect your privacy.  Any information regarding subsidy requests will be kept strictly confidential and will only be shared with the Principal, School Secretary, Feeding Futures Manager, and The Lunch Lady as necessary.

Your well-being is of utmost importance to us, and we are here to provide assistance during difficult times.

Children are asked to bring a lunch bag to school on hot lunch days as all leftovers and containers are to be taken home to be recycled and/or disposed of. To make an extra difference, bring your own re-usable cutlery from home each lunch day.

Enjoy!

We kindly ask parents and caregivers to note that The Lunch Lady operates peanut and tree nut-free commercial kitchens.  While we strive to accommodate various dietary needs, it remains the responsibility of parents and caregivers to carefully review each meal and select options that align with their child's dietary restrictions.  Regrettably, we cannot guarantee the absence of all allergens that may trigger severe reactions in menu items.  For children with severe food allergies, we recommend considering alternative meal options to ensure their safety and wellbeing.
